I used to get horrible morning sickness. I was hospitalized with both kids because I couldn't keep anything down. Here are some of my favorites:
Graham Crackers: the little teddy grahams will work too. There is a variety of different "graham" cracker products. Try anything that sounds good. They have more flavor than the boring saltine. And, they don't taste too bad coming up. (yuck, I know but it's important when you have to "retaste" your food at leat 2-5 times a day.
Gingerale: Even better than 7-up or Sprite. It sort of soothes the stomach.
Chewable Papaya tablets from the healthfood store. They seemed to help a bit.
Chicken soup with rice: I'm in love with the Wolfgang Puck organic kind, it tastes like homemade.
And, hang in there. One day you'll wake up and think, "Wow, I think I might like real food today" It does happen, I promise.
Had this with both girls and tried everything. Ate tons of saltines and 7 up. Tried the "eat something before you even lift your head off the pillow" technique. Just threw it up when I stood up. Jenn and Kristi had the same thing.....Jenn worse than K. Tried everything. As Steph says whatever you can keep down. It is good to have something in your stomach I found, however. Otherwise it's the dry heaves and that isn't fun either! Hang in there...this too shall pass. Was done by 6th month with Jenn and a little longer with Kristen. YUK!
I had evening sickness - everynight until I was about 18 weeks. Lovely. My IBS also flared up too. Double Lovely. This is just the beginning my friend. Just the beginning.
This is my Avatar. I get to pick the clothes, accessories and backgrounds, and I can "wear heels" in Paris without my feet killing me. And as a bonus, she never has a bad hair day, or a zit, and all the new clothes are free!!! It's kind of like playing Barbies for 30 somethings. With me is avatar-Lucy. She's almost as cute as the real one!
